The learning environment refers to the teacher’s implementation of resources, routines, and procedures in order to provide students with a student-centered learning environment. The teacher should strive to create a safe and positive space for his/her students. Developing rapport with the students and practicing respect in the classroom is a great way to promote a supportive learning environment. This type of classroom encourages the student’s social interactions as well as active engagement in learning and self-motivation. Teachers will often collaborate with other teachers to develop a set of policies and procedures to ensure consistency in the school’s culture.
